Benchmarking Visit Konsorsium WRI Indonesia-IPB University-USK BRIN – On March 14, 2024, our team attended a knowledge-sharing and best practice event focused on the development of DNA analysis protocols and other wood identification techniques, as part of the Indonesian-Based Wood Identification Program. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders and enhance the capacity for accurate wood identification. The event was attended by various relevant parties, including representatives from academic institutions, the wood industry, and the government. Discussions during the event centered on exchanging experiences and knowledge related to the use of DNA technology in wood identification, as well as implementing best practices in developing identification protocols.
