CRC990-EFForTS Extended JMB Meeting

CRC990-EFForTS Extended JMB Meeting – Bogor, January 3rd, 2024 – Prof. Arif Satria (Rector IPB University), Prof. H. Sutrisno (Rector, UNJA), and Prof. Amar (Rector, UNTAD), along with several other university leaders, attended a meeting at IPB Dramaga, Bogor. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Iskandar Z. Siregar (Vice Rector for Global Connectivity, Cooperation, and Alumni, IPB University), Dr. Alim Setiawan Slamet (Vice Rector for Resilience of Resources and Infrastructure, IPB University), Prof. Rayandra Asyhar (Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, UNJA), Dr. Aiyen Tjoa (Vice Rector for Development and Cooperation, UNTAD), and several other officials.

The main agenda of the meeting was a continued discussion on the post-project asset management of CRC990-EFForTS. Prof. Arif Satria, as the Rector of IPB, emphasized that the assets from the project should be managed considering their usefulness. “Where the item has the most utility, that’s where it should be placed,” said the IPB Rector. This point was accompanied by a strong assertion that asset management must adhere to the applicable administrative rules.

Rector of UNJA, Prof. H. Sutrisno, also expressed his agreement with the views of the IPB Rector regarding the consideration of asset benefits. He mentioned that the presence of the CRC990-EFForTS Consortium greatly helped UNJA in improving the university’s capacity and reputation. Meanwhile, Rector of UNTAD, Prof. Amar, emphasized that even though the consortium had ended, university collaboration was not finished. UNTAD and IPB have been collaborating for more than 20 years, and Prof. Amar expressed gratitude because UNTAD was always invited to join in new consortia.
